“My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you.”

John 15:12

About Us

The Shared Mission Foundation was formed in 2021 with the vision of partnering with local nonprofits to meet the essential needs of those displaced by life’s circumstances.

The idea was inspired by a desire to honor God and to honor the legacy of our mother who indiscriminately showed Christ’s love to everyone through her kindness and generosity. A single mom from out of town in need of a place to stay while working weekends at the local hospital; a wayward teen in need of a fresh start at a new high school; a possession-less family who fled to the United States for a better life. These are just a few examples of the numerous people mom brought home, fed, provided a place to stay, listened to and loved. Their stories are woven into our own, as mom was a living example of being the hands and feet of Jesus.

The Shared Mission Foundation recognized that this was the same population we wanted to serve and the same needs we wanted to meet. It was decided that this population and these needs, though broad, could be defined as “displaced” and “essential”. These would include those experiencing food, housing, job and childcare insecurities, teens estranged from their families, victims of domestic abuse, and the elderly. We recognize that there are many nonprofit organizations in existence that effectively meet these needs.Through the grant application process, we work to identify specific nonprofits that share our mission and to provide financial support to help them realize their missions.

Mom lived as Jesus asked us to live – loving and providing for others without judgment or discrimination. We seek to continue her example.

Our Shared Mission:

Our Mission

To share Jesus’ love through financial support of non-profit organizations that provide essential needs to displaced people.

Our Vision

A world where essential needs are met through the love of Jesus.

Our Vision

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

Matthew 11:28-30
